Cataño

Founded in 1927, Cataño is one of the youngest towns on the Island. Its original name Hato de las Palmas de Cataño was shortened to Cataño when it was formally established. It is also known as “La Antesala de la Capital” (the Vestibule of the Capital) because of its location across the bay from the capital.

Largest artisan's fair on the Island, where more than 200 artisans exhibit and sell their works. The fair includes shows for both adults and children, a Puerto Rican troubadour show, inflatable toys children's activities, and typical food & drinks sold. On the grounds of the world's largest rum plant.
