Fifty miles due west of Cabo Rojo floats rugged Mona Island, the Galápagos of the Caribbean, with its 200-foot cliffs, 3-foot iguanas and pirate caves. To get to Mona, you make arrangements with one of the tour operators. L'île Mona est une réserve naturelle unique située à 70 kilomètres ouest de Cabo Rojo. Randonnée, camping, pêche et plongée. Il n'y a ni toilettes, ni eau, ni électricité. Il faut avoir un permis du Département des Ressources Naturelles pour y séjourner.
