Orocovis

The "Geographic Center of Puerto Rico." Its name comes from the Cacique Indian, Orocovix, who was a remarkable Indian leader in pre-Columbian time. The Río Orocovis, which runs through the center of the town, is a small river that comes from the north mountains of the Cordillera Central and ends in the Río Grande de Manatí. Lago Matrullas, one of the most picturesque lakes in Puerto Rico, is nearby.
