Cabo Rojo

There are two theories about the name Cabo Rojo. One is that it comes from the red color of the water in the salt flats and the other is it comes from the red color of the morrillos (cliffs) in the area of the lighthouse. Cabo Rojo includes Boquerón, El Combate and Joyuda areas.

Held in the Joyuda sector of Cabo Rojo. The event comprises three races: 1.8-Km swim, 40-mile bicycle and a 10-mile run. Great Gourmet Pasta Party on Saturday evening before the race.
